I’m Theo

A wedding photographer based in Cyprus.

My approach is modern, minimal, and photojournalistic. I focus on honest storytelling with a subtle editorial edge. Images that feel effortless, cinematic, and real.

I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was 15, but I became a wedding photographer almost by accident. After a series of street portraits I shot in New York City gained local traction in 2008, a couple I vaguely knew asked me to photograph their wedding. I agreed reluctantly… and ended up loving it.

Weddings gave me something I didn’t expect: freedom, emotion, and the kind of moments you can’t plan. The ones I’m drawn to most aren’t the obvious magazine-cover shots but the quiet frames in between. A look, a pause, a gesture. The details that feel like a freeze-frame from a film.

I’ve been photographing weddings for almost two decades. Most of my couples are based in Cyprus or choose to have their destination wedding here, though I’m always happy to travel and have photographed weddings internationally over the years.

My editing is heavily influenced by film. I started out shooting film exclusively, and I still aim for that same timeless look in my digital work. Clean tones, depth, and a finish that doesn’t date.

Since 2018, my wife has worked alongside me as my second photographer. Having two perspectives on a wedding day adds depth to the story. Often some of our favourite images exist simply because she was seeing something different in the same moment.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually following aviation, playing bass, or adding another bottle to my ever-growing fragrance collection.

If this feels like the kind of wedding photography you’re drawn to, I’d love to hear about your plans.
